Betty Bayo marriage with Pastor Victor Kanyari

The Kenyan gospel singer was once married to ‘Pastor Victor Kanyari’, currently one of the most influential pastors in Kenya. However, after having two children, the couple parted due to unknown reasons.

After her breakup, Betty found love again, and got married to Hiram Gitau in December, 2021. This marriage marked a fresh chapter: one filled with joy, maturity, and a shared vision.

Betty often spoke about how Tash understood her struggles, her faith, and her dreams and how he stood by her not just as a spouse, but as a partner in life. As to Betty, their marriage was rooted in true friendship, prayer, and deep mutual respect.

In her final days, Betty fought a brave battle against leukemia, a type of blood cancer. Unfortunately, she passed away on November 10, 2025, at around 1 PM at Kenyatta National Hospital.

According to her family, Betty will be laid to rest on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at her own land in Mugumo Estate (along Kiambu Road). This land was not just a piece of property, but a legacy for her children — a tangible gift she left behind for them.

The service will be held at Christian Foundation Fellowship (CFF) Church along Kiambu Road, a church she once attended.
