“ I received the employment termination letter signed by the chairman about an hour ago. The letter claims that I had twice been invited to appear before the disciplinary committee of the commission, but failed to show up, hence the decision to terminate my employment,” he said. It is after this that he decided to take a different career path.

On September 28, 2021, he got a new job where he is working until now. He is the current CEO Communications Authority (CA) Kenya.

Speaking on the sim card registration deadline, Chiloba has given out new rules to govern the exercise. He stated that it is not a MUST for mobile users to visit offices to validate their registration.

“All operators shall provide a self-verification USSD code and online platform with standardised menus and messages. The USSD Code that is *106# for verification. This means that subscribers do not have to present themselves physically and the operator’s service centers physically unless it is necessary,” Chiloba stated.

He also clarified that it is not mandatory to provide photos provided that the user has given personal information that is on the ID or Passport.
