Dr. William Ruto was today on August 9, 2022 accompanied by his wife Rachel Ruto to Kosachei primary school to cast their votes. The two braved the morning cold to vote for their preferred leaders.

Surprisingly, the Kenya Kwanza Presidential candidate Dr William Ruto was the first person to cast his vote at Kosachei primary school in Sugoi, followed by his wife Rachel.

William Ruto and his wife arrived at Kosachei primary school very early in the morning with their faces full of excitement. They were the first ones to cast their votes, thus encouraging all Kenyans to do the same.
Speaking to one of the media houses, William Ruto said that he was happy to vote and encouraged everyone to participate in the voting exercise. He also asked Kenyans to conduct a peaceful election.
“I feel so good that after campaigning and speaking to the people of Kenya. Everybody here wants a peaceful election. That is why we had a spontaneous prayer because we want a peaceful process. I want to ask all voters to vote peacefully and deliberately so that we can choose the men and women who will take the country to the next level,” he said.
Martha Karua votes in Kirinyaga County
The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance deputy president designate also arrived at her voting station in Kirinyaga County to cast her vote.
She then asked Kenyans to come out in large numbers to exercise their democratic rights.
“They did not see my name but I was redirected to another station where my name was found. To Kenyans, I have voted you have seen the ink. It is our day to determine the direction this country takes. Make your voice heard.” She said.

A number of Kenyans are now headed to their various polling stations to cast their votes. Let us vote peacefully for there is life after elections.
