I have serious concerns with recent events surrounding the recruitment of a replacement English and Literature teacher in Nyamira North Sub-County, particularly at Kebabe Girls.

After applying and attending a scheduled interview (despite not receiving formal invitation) it emerged that not all eligible applicants had initially been invited.
Only recent graduates received interview messages. When this issue was raised on the interview day, the administration stated that some applicants had not applied.
A quick system check however confirmed that the applications were valid, and hence the affected candidates were allowed to sit for the interview. Despite this correction, interview results were later withheld.
We were informed that those who had not received invitation messages needed another chance. For that reason, the interviews were re-scheduled for Wednesday, 28th January 2026.
Unfortunately, this date was again postponed to 3rd February 2026 without clear explanation.
Alleged recruitment scheme at Kebabe Girls
It is alleged that the head of school intends to buy time and force us back to our current JSS workstations (some of which are as far as Kajiado/Mombasa) and then stage a “surprise” follow-up interview on short notice.
By the time we could realistically travel back, our slots would have been handed to preferred, ‘insider candidates,’ who failed to qualify during the initial fair grading.
A call for justice and accountability
We are therefore calling upon the TSC County Director and the Sub-County Education office to investigate the records of the English/Literature replacement interview at Kebabe Girls.
The score sheets from the recent interview held on January 26, 2026 exist, the witnesses are there, and the truth is clear.
We are demanding that the initial results be upheld and the recruitment process be concluded with integrity because continued delays are disproportionately inconveniencing the candidates who travelled long distances (after sacrificing their duties) only to face administrative barriers.
