On Tuesday April 25, 2023, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, the Co-founder, executive chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Meta platforms announced major changes to whatsaap. Being the most used application, Zuckerberg said that whatsaap regulations have been softened so as to be user friendly.
4 major changes made to whatsaap
While speaking Zuckerberg said that users can now access the app on multiple devices at once. This is unlike before when users were forced to log out of one whatsaap account on a phone to access the application on another mobile.
He also said that users can install the whatsaap application on four different phones and use them simultaneously.
“Starting today, you can log into the same WhatsApp account on up to four phones,” Zuckerberg said.
The Meta Chief Executive Officer also revealed that whatsaap users can now access their whatsaap on their laptops and desktops through the Whatsapp Web software.
The changes have come a month after the Meta Chief announced on March 14, that 2023 would be the year to improve the efficiency of the technology conglomerate.
Other changes to whatsaap
In another statement, CEO Meta stated that there is an update on disappearing messages.
“Anyone in a disappearing message thread can long press on a message to keep it. The sender will be notified if it was saved and can decide if it stays or remains a disappearing message,” he said.
Lastly, he said that whatsaap users can now share their whatsaap status on their Facebook timelines.
