The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has now began inviting teachers for document verification in replacement jobs. This comes weeks after teachers applied for the advertised vacancies in various schools.

Document verification both for primary, jss and secondary schools
TSC advertised 8,707 replacements positions which are on permanent and pensionable conditions to replace teachers who quit the Commission through natural attrition.
In the replacements, TSC had posted 5,862 primary school positions, 21 junior school positions, and 2,824 secondary school positions.
According to TSC, teachers will begin their interviews next week after which they will be posted to schools at the end of this month.
Academic and professional documents needed for recruitment
The Commission has also identified the academic and professional documents that must be given to the recruitment panel for verification exercise.
In addition to other pertinent documents for verification, applicants must provide original and readable photocopies of the following:
1. National identification card
2. Certificate of Registration as a teacher.

3. Evidence of the completion of Upgrade Diploma in Primary Teacher Education or Degree Certificate and academic transcripts.
4. KCSE certificate ((including certificates for tries if one resat for the exam).
5. KCPE certificate or it’s equivalent (including certificates for tries if one resat for the exam);
6. A letter from KNEC certifying the results (if appropriate);
7. National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Card (where appropriate);
8. A sworn affidavit explaining the name discrepancy under the Oaths and Statutory Declarations Act, Cap. 15 of the Kenyan Laws.
