Chiloba became more famous after he was elected the CEO IEBC, ahead of 2017 by elections. However, on October 12, 2018, he lost his job for failing to appear before the disciplinary committee of the commission twice.
“ I received the employment termination letter signed by the chairman about an hour ago. The letter claims that I had twice been invited to appear before the disciplinary committee of the commission, but failed to show up, hence the decision to terminate my employment,” he said. It is after this that he decided to take a different career path.
On September 28, 2021, he got a new job where he worked until October 19, 2023 when he resigned. He is the currently erving as the Consul General of the Kenyan mission in Los Angeles, USA.
