The media personality was born as Kellen Beatrice Kanze Dena in Kwale, Kenya. She is the fourth born among the six siblings in her family. Unfortunately, Kanze was raised by a single mother as her parents divorced when she was four years.

Beatrice was born in 1980 in Kwale County to Duruma parents, a community of the Mijikenda. Although she prefers a private life, some sources indicate that Kanze Dena’s birthday is on April 12.

Sadly, Kanze Dena’s mother succumbed to colon cancer a year after Kanze gave birth. After completing her college studies, Kanze worked at KBC as an intern. The KBC boss then recommended her to go for a voice test, after which she qualified to read bulletins at KBC radio at 4:00 p.m.

Later in 2007, she joined Citizen TV as a news anchor and a news director at royal media services TV station. She then stayed at Citizen TV for a long time until 2018, when she resigned for a different job.
