IEBC vacancies 2022, How to apply

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has today announced four hundred and eighteen thousand vacancies ahead of August 9, elections. This comes weeks after fake IEBC job adverts circulated on social media. Speaking on the IEBC vacancies, the chairperson IEBC, Wafula Chebukati cautioned Kenyans against fraudsters, and asked them to visit the official portal for job adverts.

Chekubati also clarified that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is looking forward to hire over 300, 000 Kenyans who will work on a temporal basis ahead of August elections.

IEBC vacancies 2022

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) seeks to recruit the following;

1. 47 Deputy County Returning Officers

2. 47 County-Based Voter Educators

3.  290 Constituency-based Voter educators

4. 580 ICT clerks

5. 290 deputy constituency returning officers

6. 52,481 presiding officers

7. 302,860 polling clerks/counting clerks

“The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) invites qualified applicants for the following temporary positions to be engaged during the August 9 2022 General Election.

“47 Deputy County Returning Officers, 290 Deputy Constituency Returning Officers, 52481 Presiding Officers, 52481 Deputy Presiding Officers, 389 Logistics Officers, 5827 Support Electoral Trainers ( SETS ), 580 ICT Clerks, 302860  Polling Clerks / Counting Clerks, 47 County – Based Voter Educators, 290 Constituency – Based Voter Educators and 2900 Ward – Based Voter Educators ( 2 per CAW ),” read part of the statement.

How to apply for the above IEBC jobs

Interested applicants are advised to visit the IEBC job portal and upload their details; personal information, academic qualification, and work location.

They are also asked to submit their applications in time as the portal will close by May 5.

The chairperson IEBC, Wafula Chebukati also stated the Electoral body will review the applications and get back to the qualified applicants.
