Although the Grade 9 class readiness is a major emphasis of the checklist, the team will also examine the quality of teaching and learning resources, school staffing, teacher preparedness, and sanitation.
TSC Ministry officials to visit schools for inspection
Teachers have already been given notice by the school heads of institutions (HOI) to get ready and provide the necessary professional documentation before the inspection.
Teachers must create and maintain up-to-date professional documentation such as lesson plans, progress records, class attendance registers, schemes of work, and records of work covered.
To keep an eye on teachers’ work in accordance with the teacher appraisal system, school heads and deputies must have lesson observation forms and a class attendance register.
In accordance with TSC requirements, school HOIs must fill out a Performance Contract form and submit it to the TSC Sub County Directors.
The commission has also revealed that the inspection will take place two weeks before the half-term break. On February 25, schools will take a half-term break, returning on March 2, 2025.
Preparation for Knec, KEYA, KPSEA, and KJSEA

The progress of registration will be monitored by the education officials. Students in grade three are registering for the Kenya Early Year Assessment, or KEYA, which is their first national exam.
