Magoha’s directive to gay learners
The Cabinet Secretary Education, Professor George Magoha has wowed many after he gave a directive to all heads of boarding schools. Speaking with Daily Nation, Magoha stated that all learners engaging in homosexuality should be sent out of boarding schools.
The bitter Magoha said that such learners should be enrolled in day schools near their homes so that they will be close to their parents.
He also said that by doing that the majority of the learners will be protected from engaging in the act.
“Right now, there are contemporary cases of children who are homosexual and lesbians, they must go to day schools close to their homes. Your responsibility should be for the greater majority and not a few individuals. Do not allow yourselves to be intimidated by children,” said Magoha.
He also praised the Principal Maranda High School for ordering all his learners who are reporting to school next week to undergo a mandatory drug and substance test.
Taifa Leo
The publication on Taifa Leo also reported that Maize floor prices might rise as from January. This is because the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) increased the maize prices from Ksh. 2,700 to Ksh. 3,000 for a 90kg bag.
The rise means the normal price of the 2kg maize floor packet, which is around Ksh. 100 will increase. This will force customers to dig deeper into their pockets in order to purchase the commodity.
