Francis Munyao was born on February 7, 1993, to Mr. Peter and Mrs. Ann Ndavi in Makueni, Kenya. He has two other elder brothers making him the last born in his family. More about his brothers is not known.

MCA Tricky attended Ikungu Primary school in Makindu and sat for his final exams in 2004.Considering his family’s financial struggle, he was convinced to go to Nairobi with his peers and look for green pastures.

After moving to Nairobi, he stayed at Nairobi’s Saika Estate streets along Kangundo, working as an errand boy for more than three years. When God opened doors for him, Tricky enrolled at Light International Academy in Karen for his secondary education. The institution aims at providing scholarships to bright children from low backgrounds.

He then joined Kenyatta University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering and graduated in 2019 during the 47th graduation ceremony.

MCA Tricky comedy career

While in the streets, he joined Barikiwa Set Book Group, performing high school set books. It is during his stay in this group that his comedy talent was nurtured. One day as he escorted his friend to Churchill auditions, he also registered as a formality and got a chance to try his luck.

Surprisingly, the judges were impressed by his representation. Later, he attended another audition where he beat everyone and emerged as the best. Since then, Tricky started working with Churchill and has grown to fame over the years.
