Danstan Omari was born to his late mother, Milka Kemunto Mogaka, and his late father, Elkana Mogaka.

His journey in education began at Nyamira Primary School, where he scored 19 out of 36 points in the national examination.

He furthered his education at Kiabonyoru High School, where he shared his academic journey with the former Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i.

Omari eventually secured a place at Kenyatta University, where he earned a Bachelor of Education degree in 1990.
