The former MCA and two other suspects were found guilty in the 2018 murder case involving the kidnapping and assaulting of Ms. Njambi. While making a ruling at Kiambu court on April 5, Judge Joel Ngugi ordered the three to be detained. The judge declared that there was no reasonable doubt that they were responsible for Njambi’s death.
The evidence presented against the accused was addressed by the court, which amended the case as needed, according to Justice Ngugi, who also mentioned that the prosecution had called 38 witnesses against the accused.
He stated that the witnesses gave evidence of the kidnapping, sexual assault, and eventual death of Lucy Njambi. Additional information about the incident revealed that the night she was abducted, she had been doused in acid.
